Men and Boots

Men like to wear boots, too. When I walk throuh the shopping street of my city to buy some shoes, I start to shiver. Some stores have the same collection, others the very same. For men there are just the same kind of shoes everywhere. The best and most expensive ones are brown or black leather low shoes. Cheaper ones are made of imitation leather in black or brown. Furthermore you can choose between flat soles and „globetrotter-style" thick soles.
Besides, there are tennis shoes in every variation one can imagine. They come in all colours and guarantee sweaty feet. I haven‘t seen boots for men in a long time. If there are some, they are made of chunky, brown or black leather. In other words: the collection and individuality of the offered designs are fantastically boring.

I myself got sick of the regular designs and got the idea to try on a boot with low heel. It was white, had a pointed toe and calf high. With a pair of pants over it, it looked much better than with regular shoes. Since then my own collection of boots grows steadily and I wear them in- and outdoors. So far so good, but the choice of boots larger than 41 -in which I often fit in- is small. But there is one catch: there are some „other people". Sometimes they look upon me as I would be a Martian. Often you can hear comments including „faggot" or „tranny".
That is why I started searching the internet for people like me. I found various men who like to wear boots, just like me. They all do it for different reasons. A lot have a shoe fetish, others just like the feeling on the leg and because they like the look.

They all had problems of being not accepted by society. They were thought of being sick. But shoe fetish is just as harmless as watching football. Nobody has to be afraid of getting harmed. And still this topic is a big taboo. I posted into a fashion forum that I like to wear high heeled boots and asked what the world thinks and why. There were some encouraging answers, but others like these as well: „You can‘t take men in boots serious ."; „You have to go with the majority!"; „You are an insult for manhood."; „Post into a fetish forum."; „You are not normal."
Of course some called me faggot and tranny as usually. Some answers were really offending and patronizing towards me. But no one gave me a good argument why I should not/ must not wear boots. I said that women wear cowBOY boots and boxer boots. Someone responded that this is something different. But I did not figure out what that „difference" is.
This encouraged me to wear shoes, which I like, more often out on the streets. Unfortunately I am just one of the few who has the courage to do that. There are a lot of men who would like to wear high heeled boots but most don‘t stand up to that. There are a lot of people like me out there. That is why I wrote this article. There are not just women who like to wear boots but a lot of men too. In my opinion that is important for people to know, bootlovers or not. Most men just don‘t dare to wear boots in public, which is a bit cowardly, actually. I appeal to you men to wear your boots in public, this way the sight booted men becomes more normal. The rest of the population will become more tolerant and loose prejudices about us being perverts.
