Berlin' Desert:
by Rio
I know you all have been thirsty for more photos of Jenny. You already had to wait 6 picture updates. What a terrible long time. But the time of suffering is finally over. Here she is, Jenny, beautiful and photographed.
These pictures were taken during the shooting of the DVD 2:1 for Jenny. On some images it looks like, as if we would have been out in some old industrial area in the far east of the city.
In the area where the old East-German industry used too be. Far wrong! You couldn't be more in the middle of Berlin than that. We are right in the triangle of Hauptbahnhof (new main trainstation),
Kanzleramt (chancellor's office, kind of the german Whitehouse) and the Trainstation Friedrichstrasse (former border station). The Berliner sometimes call this area „The Desert of Berlin“.
This area used to be right between East- and Westgermany and therefore it used to be no man's land. Of course they have started to rebuild this area, but we came just in time, to do a shooting with Jenny. The fascinating thing about Berlin are these free spaces.
If you consider that you are standing right in the middle of one of Europe's most important citys and you find yourself in this wasteland, your creative center of your brain is litarally tickled. These empty spaces are crying to get filled. And what better could you put into this free space, than Jenny in a pair of wonderful, long, black boots.:)
